MAYOR WU TO HEADLINE BOSTON’S NO KINGS! PROTEST ON OCTOBER 18
What: On October 18, the people of Boston will assemble to say with one wicked loud voice, “America has No Kings!” This is part of a national day of action against the Trump regime’s authoritarian abuses, cruelty, and corruption. The No Kings! Boston protest will feature Mayor Michelle Wu and other leading voices of resistance and will include powerful speeches, music, and performances, plus hands-on opportunities to strengthen your activism.
In Boston, one of 10 anchor protest cities and the birthplace of the American Revolution, the message is clear: we will not stand by, and we will never back down. We'll be peaceful, yes. But passive? Never. RSVP here.
OUR CALLS TO ACTION:
Protect our immigrant neighbors
Fight for our freedoms
Fight with our dollars
Hold our Reps accountable
When: Saturday, October 18, from 12-3 pm ET
Where: Parade Grounds, Boston Common (Charles and Beacon Streets)
Why: We’re wicked pissed, but we’re wicked united. And we’re going to be wicked loud. This fight is bigger than partisan politics. Boston is rising up to protect democracy, freedom, and dignity because the Trump regime is:
Sending ICE’s masked “secret police” into our neighborhoods—profiling, threatening, and disappearing people.
Defying courts, cutting jobs, gutting health care and education, and eliminating food and housing assistance.
Silencing voters through gerrymandering and voter suppression.
Ignoring mass shootings
All while handing out giveaways to their billionaire allies.
Who: Organized by a coalition including ACLU of Massachusetts, Indivisible Mass Coalition, and Mass 50501 (“fifty-fifty-one”), and partners across the pro-democracy and pro-worker movement.
