Dropkick Murphys to Perform at No Kings Boston Rally on March 28
Hot off their “For The People…In The Pit St. Patrick’s Day Tour,” Boston’s iconic punk rock band Dropkick Murphys will perform at the No Kings Boston rally, which runs from 2-4 pm on Boston Common on March 28, 2026.
No Kings Boston is expected to be the Commonwealth’s biggest display of people power yet, as constituents mobilize en masse in nonviolent, peaceful protest against the authoritarian takeover of the United States and for a democracy that works for everyone. Other speakers and performers will be announced soon.
For 30 years, through their music and charity work, Dropkick Murphys have advocated for workers' rights and human rights. The band’s most recent album, For The People, rises to its moment: an expression of humanity at a time of relentless dehumanization, a promise of hope in an era fueled by fearmongering, a declaration of solidarity in an age of disunion, a defiant rebuttal to the charlatans and demagogues who seek to divide us for their own power and profit.
Dropkick Murphys’ founder and vocalist Ken Casey said, “We’re happy to take part in anything that offers resistance to the horrible things that are happening in America today.”
“We the people are we the powerful, and we show up for each other as the Trump regime continues its abuses and cruelty,” said Deb Paul, chair of Indivisible Mass Coalition, one of the organizers of No Kings Boston. “Dropkick Murphys at No Kings Boston is more than just a musical performance — though we certainly expect these artists to spice up the vibe of the rally. It’s also a rally cry to us all, to use our power, build our power, and pledge to power a democracy that advances freedom, equality, justice, and dignity for all.”
No Kings Boston is part of the broader, third “No Kings Day,” during which millions of people nationwide and abroad will mobilize in nonviolent protest against the escalating corruption and abuses of the Trump administration. More than 3,000 No Kings rallies and marches are happening worldwide on March 28, including nearly 150 in cities and towns across Massachusetts.
No Kings Boston is organized by a coalition of the ACLU of Massachusetts, Indivisible Mass Coalition, and Mass 50501 (“fifty-fifty-one”), plus partners from across the pro-democracy and pro-worker movement.
