Massachusetts says FLOCK OFF!
Protect our neighbors from ICE surveillance!
Every day across Massachusetts, automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) technology tracks our movements in our communities.
Much of this data comes from cameras and drones made and sold by companies like Flock Safety that push unrestricted data sharing contracts.
Not only does this undermine everyone’s privacy, it’s especially scary for immigrant communities. Anyone from the public or private sector with access to Flock’s unrestricted network can use this data to help profile, target, and kidnap them.
What’s more, businesses like Home Depot are also deploying these technologies at their stores, which have been a hotbed of ICE activity.
They are all complicit in the unjust actions of ICE.
So we say “FLOCK OFF!”
We’re calling upon our local governments and corporations to restrict the use of ALPR data sharing and cancel their contracts with Flock.
